ACE Mentor Program Visits OfficeWorks

The ACE Mentor Program is a remarkable educational initiative designed to inspire and guide high school students toward a bright future in the fields of architecture, construction, engineering, and related areas within the design and construction industry. By participating in the ACE Mentor Program, OfficeWorks aligns itself with a powerful movement that strives to help build a better community, offering students a unique opportunity to explore and excel in their chosen fields. We are dedicated to fostering talent, diversity, and innovation in these critical industries, ensuring a brighter and more inclusive future for all aspiring students.

OfficeWorks welcomed students from the ACE Mentor Program for a day of design and exploration. Our showroom tour was just the beginning as students tackled a design challenge, crafting and presenting their own iconic furniture models.

“I initially joined the ACE Mentorship Program due to my prior awareness of the program and a long-standing desire to mentor students at Warren Central. As a mentor to these students, it's truly exciting to witness their high level of engagement and their eagerness to get involved. Having the students in our showroom and witnessing their unique chair designs and hearing them passionately explain their design intentions was inspiring. I can already see the positive impact this program has on the students.”

“I first became involved in the ACE Mentorship Program through a meeting with the current president of ACE's Indianapolis chapter, Akilah Darden, and we immediately connected on the subject of community involvement. This program perfectly aligns with the broader mission and values of OfficeWorks. It contributes to building a better community, providing much-needed guidance and flexibility to our youth. This program also exposes students to an industry in need of future leaders, which resonates with our mission.”
