Thank You to All Who Made "We Care" Reimagined 2020 a Success
“We Care” was started by Herman Miller in 1991 as an arts and crafts event benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation. This year, OfficeWorks partnered with 11 local design firms to create a winter wonderland of fun activities and crafts at local Boys & Girls Clubs. With your help we were able to donate items to 175 children.
In a ‘normal’ year, “We Care” is an in-person event hosted at The Lilly Club, which includes Santa, face painting, and balloon art. Indianapolis area design firms have stations set up to share the creativity of the arts with children. They assist and provide the crafts with everything from snow globes to personalized coffee mugs. The completed crafts can be given from the child to family members so everyone can feel the love of the holidays.
For 2020, the “We Care” tradition was “Re-Imagined.” OfficeWorks and Herman Miller’s Nancy Ramsey delivered tote bags to three Indianapolis Boys & Girls Clubs for 175 children. The individual tote bags included instructions, crayons, glue, art aprons, and fun holiday swag -- bracelets, socks, gloves, and winter hats.
“On behalf of OfficeWorks and Herman Miller, we are so thankful for the generosity of both time and materials donated by the Indianapolis area design firms. Continuing to bring joy, the love of art, and warm essentials to 175 children is truly the meaning of the holidays,” said Jackie Wilson, OfficeWorks’ Architecture and Design Representative.
Design firms included: Arc Design, Browning Day, Carson Design , Champlin Architects, Concept 2, CSO, DKGR, Four Point, krM Architects, Ratio, Rowland, and manufacturer’s Herman Miller, Naughtone, Geiger, and the event’s host, OfficeWorks.
