Multiple Generations, One Goal: Success

Today’s workforce includes up to four generations, and that’s pretty amazing! Just this week, some of my son’s friends are showing up on LinkedIn. They are entering the workforce with so much drive. Each generation works a little differently. That’s not a bad thing, it’s a reflection of our unique experiences. When we recognize that and work together, we become a stronger team.

Here are a few ways we can support each other:
Design for everyone: Create a variety of workspaces, quiet zones, tech-friendly areas, and collaboration spots to support all styles.
Leverage all generations: Harness the knowledge and experience of older workers while embracing the energy and fresh perspectives of younger workers.
Set clear expectations: Workplace guidelines help everyone understand how to use and share spaces effectively.

Let’s be real sometimes Boomers say, “Back in my day,” and Gen Z rolls their eyes. Or younger employees zip through tech, and others feel left behind. It happens. But if we lead with understanding and give each other a little grace, we’ll get where we all want to go: Success. Together.
