HAY introduces Traverse Collection, a range of outdoor furniture designed to blend into any environment. Made up of a die-cast aluminium frame with ash wood slats, Traverse is crafted from honest materials selected for their ability to withstand the elements and develop a natural patina.

The Traverse Collection is built from durable, heat-treated ash, an alternative to rainforest woods that offers strength, sustainability, and natural weather resistance. Over time, each piece develops a rich patina, blending seamlessly into its environment and gaining character with every season. As designer Erwan Bouroullec says, “You could leave it anywhere and it will age very nicely—Traverse will enjoy the rain and the sun.”
